Today we represented the club at the EAF PDI Championship, competing against 23 clubs from across the Federation.
We finished 13th overall — just 3 points off qualification for the next round, and only 1 point behind both Melbourn and Royston. With the top nine places dominated by the larger clubs, this is a result we can be genuinely proud of.
A Toughly Scored Competition
Scoring was particularly challenging this year.
Each image was scored by three judges, awarding 2, 3, 4 or 5, the lowest score was 7 and very few images scored 13 or more - in fact there was no 15 in the first 230 images shown.
In that context, with 8/15 images scoring 11+ our entry was a significant achievement.

Special congratulations to Sue Hood on her debut external entry — Submerged scoring 11 in this company is an excellent achievement.
Podium Clubs
1. PICO
2. Beyond Group
3. Colchester Photographic Society
4. Cambridge CC
Congratulations to the medal-winning clubs; all will represent the EAF at the PAGB PDI Championship.
We’re especially proud that our entry showcased a wide range of authors and still scored so strongly in such a competitive field. Some larger clubs understandably maximise scoring potential by concentrating entries among fewer authors — but our depth and inclusivity are real strengths.
A performance to be proud of!
